Maud A. Abeel (she/her) is a Director at Jobs for the Future (JFF) where she helps develop and implement efforts to build the systems, partnerships, and policies needed to ensure that all young people have access to high-quality career-connected learning and navigation supports at key stages in their education and career paths. Before JFF, Maud was a senior advisor of postsecondary success at FHI 360, a nonprofit human development organization, and a consultant to clients such as the New York City Center for Youth Employment, ExpandED Schools, CUNY K-16 Initiatives, and JFF. Prior to that, she was the senior director for college and career readiness at the Urban Assembly, a network of NYC public schools, and also worked at Carnegie Corporation of New York where she was a contributing author to Turning Points 2000: Educating Adolescents in the 21st Century. Maud has a master’s degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a teaching certificate from the University of Maryland. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with two children, her partner, and their dog.
