WHY JONSLY?
Coach Garcia saw incredible growth during Jonsly’s participation in the Cycling Smarts program. Coach Garcia explains:
Jonsly is enthusiastic about the program. He demonstrate passion about cycling. He likes to ride do tricks and fix bikes. His attendance is also exceptional.
You may have remembered Jonsly in our first blog post, where Jonsly and his teammates presented a proposal at the Community Board 12 Manhattan NYC Traffic & Transportation Committee Meeting while partnering with the Department of Transportation.

JONSLY’S EXPERIENCE
Jonsly was motivated to join the Cycling Smarts program by his love of bikes. Although, the biggest and unexpected change for Jonsly while being a Cycling Smarts participants was not the cycling at all. In fact, it was the change of his eating habits necessary to help support all of his physical activities.
He started quiet but now he’s opened up and is a class leader. Jonsly looks very confident on his bike. Jonsly is just pleasant to be around. He takes initiative and never needs to be told right from wrong. — Coach Garcia
Jonsly’s plans after graduating high school is to become a mechanical engineer. With Jonsly’s incredible growth and determination, we have no doubt that he will achieve his career goals!
