One Eye Photo Exhibition
Our thanks to all who attended the opening reception for the One Eye photo exhibition at Mt. Sinai Medical Center! The goal for the exhibition is through photography to showcase the health, academic and social benefits our Cycling Smarts program is having on the high school students we serve. The full exhibition can be viewed online by clicking on this link. ONE EYE is the brainchild of photographer Jeta B. who photographed and interviewed our students. We are incredibly grateful for her support! Click here to view photos from the opening reception.
Hosting the exhibition at Mt. Sinai Medical Center with the help of Helaine Ciporen with Mt. Sinai’s Pediatric Endocrinology Diabetes Center further highlights the growing childhood obesity epidemic and how programs like Cycling Smarts can be used as a prevention strategy.
We would also like to thank The Richard J. Massey Foundation for Arts and Sciences for the financial contribution that made the exhibition possible. Thanks also go out to the talented musicians Benji Marx, Alex Carter, Zach Seman and Elijah Tucker who volunteered their talents to fill the evening with jazz tunes and modern classics. Last but not least we want to thank Ronda Lee who worked tirelessly to organize the opening reception.
The exhibit will remain at Mt. Sinai’s Guggenheim atrium until October 2nd at 1190 Fifth Avenue and we encourage you to drop by – we promise you won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to Like us on Facebook and +1 us on Google+. Many thanks to Alberto Reyes who volunteered as the event photographer.
Corporations and your employees, we invite YOU to join us in the fight against childhood obesity and to keep ONE EYE on the healthy future of NYC youth. Just $2,000 brings the ONE EYE exhibition to your company’s lobby or atrium for a week or more, or an event. Please contact Ana Reyes at email@example.com for details.
Contributions of all amounts are welcome and will enable 80 public high school students to train for and complete our 1-day, 100-mile bike tour in June 2013.
